3 Easy Roadtrips from NJ/NYC
Are you itching to travel but aren't quite ready to board a plane just yet….then I have you covered. Thanks to my friends at Hertz I was able to explore and embark on some amazing local road trips that are perfect whether you are looking for a long getway or just a quick weekend trip around the East Coast.
With their 15 point check Hertz makes sure that your ride has been properly sanitized so that you are ready for your adventure you can read more about the Hertz Clean Standard on HERE. We know traveling is looking different so I have put together some tips on Road Tripping in 2021.
Once you have your rental booked with Hertz here are some local getaways that are within 1-4 hours of the NYC/North Jersey area.
First up is Bucks County, PA - it's about 1.5 hours from NYC/North Jersey. This is perfect if you are looking to getway for just a few days as it's super convenient and local. Whether you are a history buff, a foodie or want to explore the outdoors, Bucks County has something to offer for everyone. Check out our Bucks County Travel Guide to read all about our trip. One of our favorite things to do was the self guided covered bridge tour. We drove our Hertz rental and checked out a few of these historic bridges. You can check out the self guided tour HERE
Another one of our favorite road trip destinations is the Catskills region in NY. I love that it's under 2 hours from NYC/North Jersey and you can visit here any time of the year. If you are feeling adventurous or really want to connect with the outdoors then we suggest checking out Kittatinny Canoes Campsite; we opted to stay in a cabin which was great. One of our favorite places to visit is Kaaterskills Falls - New York’s tallest waterfall. It’s just a short drive from another one of our favorite hotels in the area, Scribner's Lodge.
If you are visiting in the winter months then Winter Clove Inn is perfect as they offer an all inclusive stay so you don't have to worry about leaving the resort. They have on site skiing and amazing hiking trails within steps of the resort.
Lastly, if you are looking to get out of the visit and spend some time exploring some historic lighthouses then make sure to add Cape Cod to your list. We loved taking our Hertz rental and hopping around Cape Cod exploring all the amazing lighthouses.
No matter what destination you choose you know you are hitting the road in a sanitized & safe vehicle thanks to Hertz. They go above and beyond to ensure all safety measures are met so all you have to worry about is picking a destination which is always the hardest choice.
As always HUGE thanks to our friends at Hertz for always providing us with the best rides for all our road trips!
