Hotel Review: Aloft El Segundo
The hardest part of vacation planning for us is finding the perfect hotel....so when we came across Aloft El Segundo, we automatically knew this was the ideal hotel for us as it checked off all our criteria.
Location & Getting There (5 out of 5):
Located within a few miles from LAX in the El Segundo neighborhood in Los Angeles the Aloft Hotel offers great convenience whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.
They offer a free shuttle service to the airport and are within minutes of major highways. We rented a car and were in the hotel within minutes...there is parking onsite for less than $20/day. Or if you decide to cab it it's about $10 on LYFT.
Its accessible location was perfect, within minutes to our favorite beach (Venice Beach) and about a 30-minute drive to Universal Studios & Disneyland!
But with all their awesome onsite facilities you might not want to even leave the hotel.... unless you plan on walking down the block to grab some In N Out!!!
Facilities (4 out of 5):
Let’s talk about the rooms.......although the rooms are on the smaller size they offer all the necessities you need. The bed is extra comfortable (making it extremely hard to get out of bed). The bathrooms are spacious and are stocked with Bliss products. The hotel itself is extremely updated so we didn’t find any issues with our rooms.
Our favorite part of the hotel was the POOL!!! If it wasn’t for our jam-packed itinerary, we could have spent all our trip here. Their pool is the perfect place to sip on a drink while enjoying the LA sunshine. Although the pool isn’t as deep (which I don’t mind since I can’t swim), it was warm which made it great if you want to go night swimming.
Even though there is no onsite restaurant there is a quick service area in the lobby that provides snacks and quick bites!! And let's not forget about the WXYZ Bar stirring up some amazing cocktails.
On one of our nights there we got to experience some live entertainment in the lobby.... with pool tables, great music and fun games; ALOFT’s lobby offers a ton of activities.
Other great onsite facilities include their gym – which offers the necessary gym equipment needed but let’s be honest who works out on vacation???
While Mike & Sam worked out, I just sat by the outdoor fire pit area reading my book.

If you are looking for the perfect location, updated & modern room in a perfect location then look no further than the Aloft El Segundo.
And did I mention they are pet friendly??!!!
With its great location the Aloft is the perfect place when staying in LA; just minutes from In N Out, Chipotle, Starbucks, a supermarket... and did I mention In N Out??
Aloft has everything you want and need whether you are in town for one night or a week.
